CANYON LAKE NOON LIONS 2026 SPRING SHRIMPFEST

WHEN: Saturday, May 16, 10:30 am – 2:30 pm

WHERE: Community Resource & Recreation Center (CRRC), 125 Mabel Jones Drive, Canyon Lake

YOU SHOULD KNOW: Come enjoy the Canyon Lake Noon Lions Shrimpfest with a generous serving of boiled gulf shrimp right from the boat, baked potato salad, coleslaw, fixins’ and desserts for sale. You can take your order to go or come join your friends and neighbors inside the Rec Center. Price is still $15.00 from any Lion or at the door. Enter a mega drawing for four $250.00 prizes donated by local merchants; ACE Hardware, Brookshire Brothers, Lowe’s Markets (Sattler & Startzville), and Prosperity Bank.

About Shrimpfest Spring (May) & Shrimpfest Fall (October)

Both the Spring and Fall Shrimpfests are held in the CRRC Recreation Center (large white building across the street from the Library on the South Access Road).

The Shrimpfest was started by Lions Jack Sharp and Jack Schoettle. Originally this fundraiser consisted of a craft show and silent auction.

The two shrimpfest also include a raffle conducted over three weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) at four locations; Lowes Markets in Sattler and Startzville, Ace Hardware in Sattler, and Brookeshire Bros. in Hancock. The four club directors are responsible for conducting these raffles.

In 2020, the Spring Shrimpfest was cancelled because of Covid 19, and the Fall Shrimpfest was conducted as a drive-thru only event instead of a seat down event. In 2021, both Shrimpfests were conducted as a drive-thru and seat down event. This was so popular that we have continued both the drive-thru and seat down dining.

October 7th, 2023 – Fall Shrimpfest with 6 MVMS LEOS and 3 CLHS National Honor Society students helping deliver Shrimpfest dinners to awaiting cars.
